Glitz & Glam NYE

Hi all! Happy Wednesday. We are half way through! I hope you all have been staying bundled up - at least my friends currently living in the colder regions of the world.

Anywho, today I bring you my NYE outfit (that is not at all weather appropriate). It's also a tad late, but it was too cute of a dress not to show off. I initially purchased the dress thinking that I was headed to a Gatsby themed party, but the theme was pretty loosely interpreted by everyone else attending. Oh well, I love an excuse to dress up.

Outfit: Dress - Unique Vintage, Shoes - DSW & Tights - Betsey Johnson.

I didn't end up with any photos of myself on New Years - the few that exist are with me in my coat. It was chilly that night, and the majority of it was spent huddled up in a bar. Overall it was a fun night though. As for wearing a backless dress, thankfully I don't have much up top to worry about in the first place - but ladies, please refrain from using bandaids as a quick diy cover up on your *ahem* chest region... that is all. I learned that one the hard way. Haha. Well, at least if you have sensitive skin it can be a problem.

Clockwise from left, Samantha Pauly as Amber Von Tussle, Henry McGinniss as Link Larkin, TJ Crawford as Seaweed J. Stubbs, Ariana Burks as Little Inez, and Amelia Jo Parish as Tracy Turnblad, star in "Hairspray" at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora. (Paramount Theatre / Handout)

Any fun plans for the weekend? My brother is starring as Link in Hairspray at the Paramount theatre in Aurora and I am headed to see the opening show on Saturday. I can't wait! It is one of my favorites, so I will be the nerdy older sis singing along and telling everyone "hey, hey - that's my brother!." Break a leg Henry and the rest of the crew!

See you all next week :]
