Everything is awesome...

Hi all! Happy Tuesday. I know I disappeared for a bit, last week was pretty busy for me catching up with friends nearly every evening outside of work - the weather has just been too nice. I am also tired of being too harsh on myself when it comes to a blogging schedule, that's one of the things that lead to my two year hiatus to begin with.

But anywho... Last week, as I said, I caught up with some friends and saw Jurassic World in 3d (in reclining seats at the cinema - it's the little things that get me excited) and it was awesome! Well, the movie going experience made it awesome, and you can't lose oogling at Chris Pratt caring for dinos. Aside from that, this past weekend Dylan and I were lazy bums - it was amazing. (Please note: Dylan has been a zombie studying for his Architectural licensing exams and is currently waiting on a score so he had some rare down time - we are not typically bums, well not regularly.) We did next to nothing on Saturday, aside from having some friends over in the evening. Some weekends you just need to stay in your pj's and watch The Lego Movie. Dylan and I watched it for the first time the other night and that damn song has been stuck in my head ever since, ya know the one, "EVERYTHING IS AWESOOOMMMME, everything is cool when you're a part of a team." I am only slightly sorry if it gets stuck in your head after reading this because it has been torture for me - sharing the love here. If you haven't seen it, you've been warned.

Sunday we got it together and managed to got out to brunch. Afterward we hit up Michigan avenue, and then swung back for a nap - the life I lead is a wild and adventurous one..

Outfit: Dress - Capsule Vintage, Purse - Thrifted Dooney & Burke, Shoes - DSW & Hat - Carson's.

I am excited to show this dress off. I bought it months back. It was a love at first sight - need it now, sort of thing. The fabric is light weight and perfect for summer, and I love that it hits just above the knees so I feel comfortable not popping out while keeping cool.

Also, trying to rock a hat here - I usually don't wear them because I feel like my face/head is an odd shape for it - don't even get me started on sunglasses, but it is fun to try new things every once in awhile. Us pale ladies need to keep those pesky tan lines/suburns at bay.

Hope your week is off to a great start! Tomorrow I will be sharing with you mini Ewok/Chewbacca figurines :]
